CoreCivic, a leading provider of correctional solutions, has recently announced the signing of promising new management contracts with Wyoming and Harris County, Texas. These contracts will enable CoreCivic to accommodate inmates at their state-of-the-art Tallahatchie County Correctional Facility in Mississippi.
Up to 240 Male Inmates
To meet the needs of Wyoming, CoreCivic plans to house up to 240 male inmates in their 2,672-bed facility. The contract, which has a significant duration until June 30, 2026, represents a strong commitment from both parties involved.
Expanding Capacity for Harris County
The contract with Harris County introduces an exciting opportunity for CoreCivic to house up to 360 male inmates. Moreover, in a mutually beneficial agreement, the county can potentially access an additional 360 beds. The initial term of the contract will span from December 1 to November 30, 2024. Additionally, the county has the option to extend it for four additional one-year terms.
Strengthening CoreCivic’s Presence
CoreCivic continues to expand its reach and bolster its operations across diverse regions. The company has recently secured additional contracts with Montana at the esteemed Saguaro Correctional Facility, as well as with Hinds County in Mississippi. With the combined annual revenue from these four contracts estimated to reach approximately $25 million, CoreCivic is poised for continued growth and success.
