The French CAC 40 index witnessed a significant increase of 1.07% to reach 7,220.01. Similarly, the German DAX performed well, rising by 0.75% to reach 15,790.34. The FTSE 100 index in the UK also experienced a slight uptick of 0.12% to reach 7,282.52.
Top Gainers
Among the constituents of the Stoxx Europe 600 index, Kingspan Group PLC, a real estate and construction company, saw the largest increase with a surge of 15.7% in share prices.
Other notable gainers include technology firm Samhaellsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB Series B, which rose by 8.7%, and retail company THG PLC, which witnessed a 7.7% increase in share prices.
Tech company Nordic Semiconductor ASA and technology company Sinch AB also experienced significant growth, with their stocks rising by 7.3% and 5.7% respectively.
Top Losers
On the other hand, insurance company Tryg A/S witnessed the largest decrease among the constituents of the Stoxx Europe 600 index, as its shares weakened by 6.6% on Tuesday.
Healthcare and life sciences firm Ambu A/S Series B and machinery company VAT Group AG also saw a decline in their share prices, dropping by 4.4% and 4.2% respectively.
Leisure, arts, and hospitality company Carnival PLC and business services company Adevinta ASA also experienced a decrease in their stock prices, with drops of 3.6% and 2.9% respectively.
Currency and Commodity Market Trends
In the currency market, the pound showed strength against the dollar, rising by 0.32%. However, the euro weakened slightly, dropping by 0.05%.
In the commodities market, Brent crude gained 1.94%, reaching $79.20.
Bond Yields
The yield on the 10-year gilt increased by 2.78 basis points to 4.669%, while the yield on the German 10-year bund rose by 0.800 basis points to 2.65%.
