Fisker, the electric-vehicle startup based in Manhattan Beach, Calif., has announced that it will grant customers access to Tesla’s renowned Supercharger network. In an agreement signed on Tuesday, Fisker confirmed its adoption of the North American Charging Standard, which is utilized in Tesla’s extensive network of fast chargers. This move is set to take effect in 2025 with the launch of Fisker’s first vehicles.
By embracing the North American Charging Standard, Fisker owners will be able to enjoy the convenience of over 12,000 Tesla Superchargers located across the United States and Canada. It is worth noting that this agreement covers all existing and future Fisker vehicles.
Starting from 2025, Fisker customers will have access to adapters that will enable them to connect to the Tesla network. Furthermore, Fisker plans to incorporate a North American Charging Standard inlet into their vehicle engineering at a later stage.
In a similar vein, several other leading automakers, including General Motors and Ford, have recently entered into agreements to incorporate Tesla-style charging ports into their upcoming electric vehicle models.
