RBC Wealth Management has announced the recruitment of a highly experienced advisor team from UBS, bringing with them an impressive $1 billion in client assets. The team, known as the Total Wealth Management Group, is based in Leawood, Kan.
Meet the Team
The Total Wealth Management Group consists of seasoned advisors Patrick McCarthy, John Brown, Eric Taylor, and Scott Jones. In addition, the team includes senior financial associate Penny McKinney, senior business associate LaGina Nicholas, and associate financial advisor John McCarthy.
McCarthy and Brown, who have been in the industry for several years, began their careers at Piper Jaffray in 1990 and 1984 respectively. They later joined UBS in 2006. Similarly, Taylor commenced his career at Piper Jaffray in 2006 before moving to UBS in the same year. Jones has been with UBS since 2002.
RBC’s Recruiting Success
RBC Wealth Management has been actively attracting top talent from other leading brokerage firms. Their recent hires have included advisors managing significant portfolios. For instance, in August, RBC recruited a former UBS team that oversaw an impressive $5.5 billion in Atlanta. Earlier this year, the firm also added a former First Republic Bank team from Newport Beach, Calif., that oversaw approximately $1 billion in client assets.
