Tsai expressed her belief that Chinese leaders are currently dealing with internal challenges such as a weakening economy, which would discourage them from launching a military invasion of Taiwan. She also commended the international community for emphasizing that war is not an option and that peace and stability benefit everyone.

President Tsai also touched upon the efforts of the United States to revitalize its chip manufacturing sector, a development that has implications for Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM), a global leader in advanced chip production.
Taiwan Semiconductor recently announced a $40 billion investment to establish two chip fabrication facilities in Arizona. President Tsai regarded this decision as beneficial, emphasizing that it demonstrates Taiwan’s commitment to supporting its allies and friends. She also mentioned that it will provide the Taiwanese company with access to American expertise.
