The Comeback Kid EA is described as the most powerful EA ever created by its vendor. This is because in addition to being an automated tool, manual features have also been included. The owner also alleges that the EA makes an average monthly profit of 5%. It is said that 288 purchases have been made since its introduction to the market a few months ago.
The Comeback Kid EA is a product authored by Ryan Brown, the founder of Responsible Forex Trading. He claims to have over 16 years experience in FX trading but we have no means of verifying this. He has developed three other products namely Vigorous EA, Ranger EA and Pinpoint EA.

The system can utilize an averaging-in flex-grid system that focuses on key S/R resistant points to recover bad trades. According to the developer, the software avoids taking grid positions unnecessarily. It thus ensures that it takes such positions when there is a likelihood to move in the trader’s favor.
The EA also applies a trend trading system that supposedly gives the user great entries after the trend has a pullback. Whereas the vendor has tried to unveil some details about the approach in use, it is not clear if the two methods work separately or together to generate desired results.
How to start trading with the Comeback Kid EA
Traders can buy this system at $497. Unfortunately, a money-back guarantee is not available.
The Comeback Kid EA is half EA and half trade manager. It can trade for you automatically. You can also opt to utilize the onscreen buttons to intervene with the system to attain a creative manual/algo collaboration. You are advised to chart 5-10 minutes daily for potential entries. Once you take up your trades, you can then allow the robot to deal with the rest. After that, it will close the trades in profit/loss based on your preference.
Backtests
Backtesting results have not been provided. We are forced to question the authenticity of this robot. If it is indeed profitable, then Ryan would not have any problem sharing this data with us.
Verified trading results of the Comeback Kid EA
This is a real USD account operating under Trader’s Way brokerage. It was used on the MT5 platform and applied a leverage of 1:500. The account was opened about 2 months ago and has made a gain of 11.01%. The deposit of $30, 674.36 generated a profit of $3,368.43. So far, the balance has grown to $34,011.23. The daily and monthly profits stand at 0.17% and 5.05% respectively. The drawdown (6.21%) is still small and not something to worry about yet.
The EA has performed 319 trades with 61.92 lots. The win rates of 61% for longs and 67% for shorts are average and point to the robot’s mediocre performance. The profit factor which is 1.72 is also not that promising. The pips made are 1870.3. The average win (88.71 pips) is very low compared to the average loss (145.18 pips). So, the system loses more than wins.
Many of the trades were conducted on Thursday (97 deals).
The probability of losing the account is low.
The system has been generating steady profits which are below 5%.
The EA made a series of losses, a trend that is worrying considering that the profits were not that substantial. Long time frames of up to 4 days were used. Grid and martingale strategies are on board.
Customer reviews
User testimonials are missing on popular websites like Trustpilot or Forex Peace Army. Since the EA is new in the market, perhaps customers are still tracking its performance before rushing to comment about it. Hopefully, we will see some reviews in the near future.
Is the Comeback Kid EA a viable option?
Advantages

Disadvantages
- Its trading history is too short
- Lack of vendor transparency
- Backtest results are unavailable
- Dangerous strategies applied
Wrapping up
This EA is very new in the market and even though it has made profits, they are quite small. We found out that in addition to the grid, the system also applies martingale. It is only a matter of time before these approaches wipe out the account. The many losses already incurred are a sign of what awaits it. Therefore, you should consider investing your cash elsewhere and not on this product.
